We are excited to be able to invite you to our wedding on Friday 31st October 2025. We look forward to seeing you all there and celebrating together with friends and family.
We will be having a traditional Hindu ceremony followed by copious amounts of Indian food and partying. We have included a brief summary of the day, so you have an idea of what to expect.
13:00 - Guest Arrival
Please arrive promptly and enjoy some light snacks/drinks before the wedding ceremony commences. This will be all vegetarian as no meat or alcohol is served before the wedding ceremony.
14:00 - Baraat
The baraat is a wedding procession to represent the groom's arrival that involves live music and dancing. Though it doesn't hold any religious significance, it's performed at almost every wedding to ensure a couple happily enters their marriage with friends and family by their side. This custom also symbolizes the groom's journey to marrying his wife and the joining of two families into one. Plus the bridesmaids won't let Lewis in until he pays the entry fee! We encourage you all to get involved.
14.30 - Hindu Wedding Ceremony
The ceremony itself will be a traditional Hindu wedding. This involves a variety of rituals which each hold significance to the bringing together of the couple and their families. It will be led by a pandit (Hindu priest) who will explain each step in English so everyone can enjoy and appreciate the ceremony.
16:00 - Hindu Ceremony Finishes
Hooray! We are married (for the second time). We'll be rushing off for a few photos and maybe a cheeky outfit change but the drinks & canapes will be flowing so we'll be quick so we can come and join you as we don't want to miss out!
18:00 - Wedding Breakfast & Party
We will be serving Indian food, Punjabi to be specific, as Davina's family are from Punjab in India. You can expect steaming hot bowls of chole and a variety of amazing curries are the order of the day. Please ensure you have informed us about any dietary requirements via the RSVP form, as we are able to cater for any and all needs.
After dinner, we'll be hitting the dance floor and can't wait for you to show us your best Bhangra moves, just pat the dog and screw the light bulb!
00:00 - Carriages
If you're staying at Hilton London Croydon with the bridal party, your transport back to the hotel will be arranged. If staying elsewhere, you'll need to arrange this yourselves.
